8th Annual Gala Fundraiser

The 8th annual Whistler Adaptive Gala Fundraiser is set for Thursday, May 14, 2015, at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club. Join the supporters of Whistler Adaptive Sports Program to help adapt the playground and support athletes at every level. Dine with some of the best Paralympic athletes in Canada, enjoy a delicious three course dinner surrounded by spectacular ocean views and help us raise funds through our popular live and silent auctions.

The funds raised at the gala help Whistler Adaptive Sports Program Society create and maintain sport programs for people with cognitive, physical, and sensory disabilities. By supporting sport for life, Whistler Adaptive breaks down physical, social, and financial barriers, as well as cultivates skills that lead to independence and confidence.

The evening will start at 6pm as people gather in the the banquet room, peruse the silent auction items and mingle with athletes in attendance. Dinner will be served at 7pm including Hester Creek Wines generously provided by Peacock & Martin, followed by our popular live auction and speeches. The night will end at 10pm after the highest bidders on the auctions claim their items.

FUNDS RAISED WILL HELP:

  • Support the development of innovative adaptive sports programming;
  • Ensure the greatest number of individuals with a disability have access to sport and recreation;
  • Create sport for life for all of our athletes and participants;
  • Help expand our programming to reach more individuals with a disability who face financial or geographical barriers;
  • Help build the future generation of Canadian athletes.
