Return to sport process for amateur sport
As outlined in B.C.’s Restart Plan, during Phase 3, sport activities organized and operated by Local Sport Organizations (LSOs), Provincial Sport Organizations (PSOs), and Disability Sport Organizations (DSOs) can resume in a limited way.
Until June 15, we are focusing on community programming. Local athletes will have a in their chosen activity, and they will be paired with a coach and a volunteer from their local community when possible. Regional athlete bookings will be considered only once the recommendations around travel for sport are lifted by the PHO. We will continue to monitor the PHO guidelines and adjust to this ever-changing situation. We are hopeful we will be able to welcome back our athletes from further afield soon.
