2020/21 BURSARY PERIOD: August 1, 2020 to July 31, 2021 *New
Thank you for your interest in applying for a bursary with the Whistler Adaptive Sports Program. Please read carefully and complete the forms to the best of your ability. If you are filling out this application on behalf of a prospective client please include your name and contact details at the end of the application.
The Whistler Adaptive Sports Program offers bursaries for each operating season or on a year-round basis (August 1 to July 31). You can apply once per year for bursary assistance.
Applying for a bursary or being a bursary recipient in the past does not guarantee that you will receive a bursary this year. Bursaries are based on financial need.
Please note: If you are chosen to receive a bursary, you may be required to submit a photocopy of your tax return as proof of income and the bursary funds will not be applied retroactively to programming already received.
Athletes who demonstrate a financial need may apply for a bursary to participate in our year-round or seasonal activities. Bursaries are limited to $1,000 year round.
If you are awarded a bursary and are participating with a group, your bursary will cover the Whistler Adaptive activities and equipment your group is scheduled to attend. Please refer to the winter and summer programs listed on our website for details on the activities offered. Please plan in advance, and make your reservations as early as possible.
Bursary recipients need to arrange for their own transportation to program activities unless otherwise indicated in the program website. Bursary applications should be submitted at least 6 weeks prior to planned activity. Bursaries received less than 6 weeks prior to the planned activity may not be processed in time to participate in that activity.
Failure to comply with these four requirements will result in being ineligible for future bursaries.
Please fill out the following form. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
It is very important that you provide a complete list of all household income/financial information, including all household job-related and public assistance income. Applications will not be considered if they do not include this information.
Please contact the Whistler Adaptive Sports Program at 604-905-4493 if you have any further questions.
