Learn & Play

Sit-skiers & standing skiers enjoy winter in Whistler

Whistler Adaptive has just completed its 16th year with a record 2,800+ lessons taught in 16 adaptive sports. In the Learn & Play programs, Whistler Adaptive works with individuals who are brand new to adaptive sport or are looking to advance from beginner to intermediate level. From 3-track skiing and Nordic sit-skiing to kayaking and yoga, our instructors work at a pace set by the athletes with their training or therapeutic goals in mind.

By adapting our teaching styles to each individual, Whistler Adaptive can create an outdoor experience that can be shared with the family or teach new athletes the skills to pursue the sport of their choice independently at a recreational or competitive level. Working with athletes with cognitive, physical or sensory disabilities, Whistler Adaptive aims to provide the best instructors and the right environment to fulfill each athlete's goal. Whether you’re looking for a single lesson to highlight your stay in Whistler or if you’re ready for a full season of adaptive sport programs and coaching, we have a range of options for athletes of all ages.
