From winter snow sports through to summer hikes, it is thanks to Whistler Blackcomb and Vail Resorts that Whistler Adaptive athletes can experience and reap the benefits of this amazing alpine playground.

Our subsidized multi-sport adaptive programs operate seasonally at Whistler Blackcomb Resort and ensure access to mountain sports and physical recreation for anyone with disabilities and neurodiversity living in or visiting the Sea to Sky region.

Read on to discover some of the WAS community programs and special events that are supported by Whistler Blackcomb, as well as the resorts contribution to the growth and development of adaptive sports worldwide.

The Whistler Adaptive Sports Community Alpine Ski and Snowboard Program – Every winter local athletes can access a 12-week subsidized snowsports program, delivered by trained adaptive coaches and volunteers utilizing specialist adaptive equipment. The WAS Jeff Harber Adaptive Sports Centre at Whistler Blackcomb’s Olympic Midstation is home to our alpine program.
