New Riders. New Trails. New Bikes!

Posted: June 18, 2026Read Time: 2 minutes

More opportunities to experience the fun, freedom, and adventure of riding bikes in the Sea to Sky this summer.

From valley trails to bike park flow lines, this summer Whistler Adaptive Sports is expanding its biking program, creating more opportunities for first-time riders, opening up new terrain experiences with 2 and 3 wheel bike lessons at Whistler Mountain Bike Park and growing our adaptive bike fleet.

In addition to our regular bike programs in Squamish and Whistler, new for 2026 we’ll be offering weekly adaptive and 2-wheel bike lessons at Whistler Mountain Bike Park throughout July and August.

To help more people experience adaptive biking for the first time, we’re hosting two free Adaptive Bike Try-It Days this summer. These sessions provide a welcoming introduction to adaptive riding, giving participants the opportunity to explore different equipment options and experience the fun and freedom of riding with support from trained coaches.

Thanks to a generous grant of $45,891 from The Whistler Blackcomb Foundation, we’re adding two exciting new bikes to our fleet, the Bowhead Reach and the Reactive Adaptations Wildcat T1 Kids adaptive handcycle, helping more riders experience the fun, freedom, and adventure of biking.

With thanks from Whistler Adaptive Sports to The Whistler Blackcomb Foundation

We’ll also be back at Crankworx Whistler on July 31, joining the AMTB First Tracks session so people can try out our bikes and learn more about our regular adaptive biking programs across the Sea to Sky.
