Autism Camp Funded by Whistler Community Foundation on August 28th
Camp runs from 10am - 3pm. We will be meeting at a TBD location at 10am. To start the day we will go over our plan for the day and orient ourselves to the staff and surroundings. Following our orientation, we will head up the Blackcomb gondola and hike the decker loop and then return to the village after crossing to whistler on the peak to peak and heading down the Whistler gondola. Lunch will be provided for parents and children.
What to Bring
As we will be spending the whole day on the mountain it is very important to make sure you are all adequately prepared for the day. Temperatures will be cooler and poor weather can come in quickly on the mountain. Please consider both of these factors when dressing and packing clothes for yourself and your children. Please bring:
- Extra layers (pants and a sweater)
- Snacks
- Sun safety items (hat, sunglasses and sunscreen)
- Rainwear
- Running shoes (children will not be allowed at camp this week if they do not have closed-toe shoes for walking on dirt trails)
