Summer is On: Alpine Hikes, Forest Rides, and Serene Lake Paddles across the Sea to Sky

Posted: May 30, 2025Read Time: 2 minutes

This summer, join Whistler Adaptive Sports for a jam-packed program of physical activity and therapeutic recreation across our three Sea to Sky community hubs in Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton.

Weekly Programs That Move With You

Our regular programs run throughout the summer and are built to support participants of all ages and experience levels. Whether you’re returning to something familiar or exploring a new sport for the first time, we’re here to meet you where you’re at.

In Whistler, programs include kids and adults kayaking, group biking and 1:1 two-wheel biking. We also offer hiking for ages 8 and up, youth and adult canoe/paddleboard sessions, and 1:1 adaptive biking.

In Squamish, join us for youth and adult paddle camps, hiking and and two-wheel biking for kids and adults. These sessions are a great way to build skills while enjoying time outside in a supportive environment.

In Pemberton, we offer paddle camps and guided hikes for participants ages 8 and up. With its peaceful pace, it’s a perfect location for exploration and connection.

Visiting from out-of-town? Get in touch via info@whistleradaptive.com to check the latest availability for our drop-in sessions.

New for Summer 2025: 1:1 Adaptive Mountain Biking in Whistler and Squamish! Whistler venues include Whistler Bike Park, Lost Lake Trails and in Squamish’s Alice Lake.

Special Events & Try It Days

Alongside our weekly programs, we’re teaming up with local partners to host a series of exciting events that bring adaptive sport to new spaces and communities. Look for us at Crankworx and reserve your spot at our annual Adrenaline Weekender with Spinal Cord Injury BC by contacting rclarkson@sci-bc.ca.

Starting the season on a (mountain) high, book from Monday June 2 to join the annual Whistler Adaptive Alpine Hike on July 5 at Whistler Blackcomb Resort. All abilities welcome and a great opportunity to try one of our adaptive trailriders!

We’re also hosting Try It Days in Squamish and Pemberton. A Try It Day is a welcoming, one-day experience where participants can try a new adaptive sport in a safe and supported environment. These events are all about discovering what’s possible, connecting with others, and having fun without pressure. We offer them because we believe everyone deserves the chance to move and play.

Whether you’re seeking adventure, connection, or just a good time outside, we’re here to help you find your path. Registration is open, and we can’t wait to see you there!
